Barry Ritzler, PhD

Greetings from Rorschach Training Programs!

We just finished the Beginning Program held at Long Island University June 13-17th. There were 35 participants mainly from across the United States and several international participants from Australia, Canada, and Norway. It was an excellent, hard working class.

It is a busy time for those interested in the Rorschach. Many of you will soon be leaving for the International Rorschach Convention scheduled for Tokyo, Japan. The next Newsletter will bring you a summary of news and events from that Convention.

Our website email group continues to grow in numbers and orders for the new Interpretation Workbook have been robust. Keep in mind that if you are interested in ordering the Workbook for class study volume discounts are available. Call or send an email to RTP to inquire.

As online education becomes more prevalent RTP is exploring this possibility for some Programs. We value your input so in the near future we will be offering a brief online survey to gather feedback about the practicality of online education.

As some of you may have noticed there have been occasional payment issues for those trying to register for Programs or purchase materials. Google made some software changes that interrupted access to the “shopping cart.” To make processing easier, the RTP is changing to Pay Pal for accepting online payments. Hopefully, you will find Pay Pal user friendly and efficient.

Because there is an increasing demand for training programs, the RTP is considering offering two Beginning Programs in 2012 – one on the East Coast in June and possibly one in California in February. Keep in touch with our website for announcements regarding these Programs. We will also keep you posted via the Newsletter.

Roger Greene and I will be teaching an Advanced Program on Integrating the Rorschach and the MMPI in late March or the first week of April in Dallas, TX. We also plan to have another Advanced Child and Adolescent Program sometime next year. More information regarding faculty, dates and sites should be determined and posted by late summer or early fall.

Summer can be a time of transition, travel and respite from a busy academic year. For me it will be a time of relocation. My wife and I are leaving Edison, New Jersey this month and moving to Bristol, Connecticut. This move was motivated by our desire to keep up with children and grandchildren. This move will be a reminder of my post-graduate days at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.

Access to the Rorschach Training Programs website will be unchanged. My email and phone number will also stay the same. The only difference you may notice is possible difficulty in reaching me for the next two weeks as we unpack boxes, reconnect to the internet, etc.

RTP wishes you a safe and enjoyable summer. Hope to see some of you in Japan.
