2010 TRAINING SCHEDULE

June Beginning Program

If you are interested in the Beginning Program that will be held in San Francisco, June 16-20, 2010, please register as soon as possible because registrations are limited. Approximately four weeks prior to the Program registrants will receive their textbooks and pre-course materials. This is the only Beginning Program scheduled for 2010.

August Advanced Program

An August Advanced Program (August 6, 7 & 8 ) is planned for Asheville, North Carolina. It will focus on integrating the MMPI and the Rorschach Comprehensive System in personality assessment. The faculty will include Drs Anthony Sciara for the Rorschach and Roger Greene, an expert in the MMPI.

Reunion Program – Save this Date!

The Reunion Program is scheduled for September 24-26, 2010. This is a beautiful time of year in Asheville, North Carolina. The Program will begin at 8:00 AM Thursday, September 23 and end on Sunday, September 26 at 12:15 PM.

Discussion topics will include: Current Issues Regarding the Comprehensive System, Presentation of Case Protocols, and a Roundtable Discussion of the Future of the Comprehensive System. Special events include a party on Friday evening and a round table discussion on Friday afternoon. A complete schedule will be published in the next Newsletter.

Faculty members are Barry Ritzler, Anthony Sciara, Anita Boss, Irving Weiner, and Chris Fowler. We welcome back Irving Weiner who will present a case on Friday morning. Irv served two terms as the President of the Society for Personality Assessment and one term as President of the International Rorschach Society. For many years Irv was a featured instructor for several Rorschach Workshops and co-authored, with John Exner, the child and adolescent volume for the Comprehensive System. A special guest speaker will be Chris Fowler who has done important research at Austin Riggs on the Suicide Constellation from the Comprehensive System. In addition to being a staff member at Austin Riggs, Chris is a member of the Society of Personality Assessment and a previous member of the Research Council for the Comprehensive System. Chris will discuss his suicide research and also present a suicide case.

The eligibility requirement to attend the Reunion is anyone who has attended a Rorschach Beginning Workshop or Beginning Rorschach Training Program. Join other Rorschachers who enjoy sharing their knowledge and experience and building a professional network of colleagues who use the Comprehensive System.


NEW ARTICLE ONLINE

Drs Sciara and Ritzler recently published, on the Rorschach Training Program website, their latest paper concerning the development of a new Rorschach Testing Procedure.

The paper concerns the future of the Comprehensive System and recent efforts to establish an alternative Rorschach system. The article can be found by going to the “Resources” menu and scrolling down to “Articles.”

FUTURE MEETINGS OF INTEREST
Society for Personality Assessment Annual Convention
This is an important meeting for all those involved in personality assessment. It will be held at the Fairmont Hotel, San Jose, California, March 24 -28, 2011. Drs. Ritzler and Sciara will conduct a workshop as well as present papers.

The International Rorschach Congress
Japan will be hosting this meeting June 16-20, 2011. More information can be obtained by going to the RTP links of interest and clicking on the website address.
